This photo was taken along the Creekside trail on the bank of the Brandywine Creek in Brandywine Creek State Park. The late afternoon sun highlighted the remnants of the fall foliage as the November chill provided a reminder of the coming winter. Located in Rockland, Delaware, Brandywine Creek State Park is about 3 miles north of Wilmington, Delaware and about 10 miles south of the historic Brandywine Battlefield Park in Chadds Ford, PA. Visible from Rockland Road, the small waterfall is near the southern trailhead for the Creekside trail and is a great place to watch the sunset after an afternoon of hiking.

I am a native Texan, living in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country with a love for the West Texas desert, the rolling hills of Central PA, and everything in between. A childhood love of picture taking grew into a passion for photography during my years serving on a submarine, where photos were my windows to the outside world.
