Description
This photo features the Norman Wood Bridge, captured from the western bank of the Susquehanna River. The Norman Wood Bridge connects Lancaster and York Counties in South Central Pennsylvania. This area of the Susquehanna Greenway is accessible via the Mason Dixon Trail and is just downstream of the Holtwood Dam.
The Mason-Dixon Trail connects the Appalachian Trail with the Brandywine Trail. This 200 mile long trail starts at Whiskey Springs in Cumberland County, PA and at Chadds Ford, PA on the banks of the Brandywine River. Approximately 50 miles of the trail runs along the Susquehanna River between the Wrightsville Bridge in York County, PA and Havre de Grace MD.
